Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) organizes National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (NDA &NA) Examination. Through NDA Exam, candidates get admission to the courses at National Defence Academy and Naval Academy. UPSC organizes NDA Exam twice in a year, NDA Exam (I) mostly in the month of April, while NDA & NA (II) in the month of September.
Exam Paper Pattern of NDA & NA Examination
The examination consists of 2 Papers, Mathematics – 120 questions (300 marks) and General Ability Test – 150 Questions (600 marks) with objective type questions. The time allotted for each Paper is 2 Hours 30 Minutes. There was negative marking (one- third) for the wrong answer.
Syllabus of NDA & NA Examination Paper I
Paper I - General Ability Test, There are two part in this paper :
Part A: English Language- The motive of this paper to assessed the candidate’s understanding of English Language. The syllabus covered various aspects like- Grammar and usage, vocabulary, comprehension etc.
Part B: In Part B of Question Paper I Questions will be on various topics including Physics, Chemistry General Science, History of India & freedom movement, Geography, Polity, Economics, and Currents Affairs etc.
