NEET 2019 Counseling will be starting from the second week of June 2019. State level counseling will be organized separately by the respective state authorities. First of all, candidates are required to register for counseling and fill their preferences for admission.

The counseling for 15% All India Quota seats will be administrated by Medical Counseling Committee of the Directorate General of Health Services. Afterwards, seats will be allotted to students as per their merit, category and availability of seats in colleges.

Candidates who aspire to resign from the allotted seat after the second round of NEET 2019 will have to participate in the online resignation process. Once a seat will be allotted, candidates have to report to the allotted college within the notified schedule.

Eligibility for NEET Counseling

Candidates must qualify NEET 2019 to be considered eligible for the counseling process. In order to qualify for NEET 2019 exam candidates must secure the minimum required percentile which can be checked in the table given below-

Category Wise Counseling Dates

Counseling for 15% All India Quota

  • The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India will hold the Counseling for 15% All India Quota Seats.
  • All deemed, central, state universities will participate in online counseling.
  • Seats of ESIC and AFMC, BHU & AMU will also be filled in this counseling.
  • Candidates will apply for 15% All India Quota seats as per the directions of DGHS and Counseling will be stopped soon the seats are exhausted.
  • Through this counseling session, candidates can get enrolled in any college in India.
  • Those candidates who take part in All India Counseling can also participate in State Counseling of their respective states.

Counseling for 85% State Quota Seats

  • For State quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned Counseling Authorities.  
  • The counseling for Private Medical Colleges will also be conducted by the concerned State Counseling Authority.
  • Candidates need to register on their concerned state’s counseling websites.

Round 1

  • Display of Seat Matrix: Second week of June 2019
  • Registration and Choice Filling: Second week of June 2019
  • Last date for registration and choice filling: Third week of June 2019
  • Allotment Result: Fourth week of June 2019
  • Reporting to allotted colleges: Till first week of July 2019

Round 2

  • Display of Seat Matrix: First week of July 2019
  • Registration and Choice Filling: First week of July 2019
  • Last date for registration and choice filling: Second week of July 2019
  • Allotment Result: Second week of July 2019
  • Reporting to allotted colleges: Third week of July 2019
  • Transfer of vacant seats to the respective states: Fourth week of July 2019
  • Second week of August 2019: Registration and Choice Filling: Second week of August 2019
  • Last date for registration and choice filling: Third week of August 2019
  • Allotment Result: Third week of August 2019
  • Reporting to allotted colleges: Fourth week of August 2019
  • Transfer of vacant seats to the respective Institutes: Fourth week of August 2019
