Classmate Spell Bee, which has already became a rage all over the nation is scheduled to be back again and it’s bigger and better this year. Season 7 of the famous Classmate Spell Bee is a unique platform which provides opportunities for spellers to try and test their spelling skills. This year the event would travel to almost 800 schools across 30 cities and would reach out to almost 2,75,000 students from Classes V to IX. Those students who are willing to participate can do the same by visiting the website www.classmatespellbee.in.

Spell Bee is sponsored by Classmate which is a leading notebook brand of ITC and is the largest school-level competition in India. Through the program there are many students who have come victorious over the years through this programme proving their mettle. The top 16 participants would get a chance to showcase their skills on national television as the program gets aired in channels like Discovery, Discovery Kids and Discovery Tamil. A grand prize of Rs. 2,00,000 would be given to the winner of the season and he/she would get an opportunity to witness the Scripps National Spelling Bee which is scheduled to take place in Washington DC, USA in 2015. Four of the semi-finalists would get a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 each.

Classmate has always tried in recognizing and nurturing the hidden potential of the students and has given opportunity to countless such students to showcase their distinctive talents and skills on a huge nationwide platform. Over the years Classmate Spell Bee has become huge and has included huge number of students under the ambit of the programme.

Beginning as a spelling competition, Classmate Spell Bee has now become a landmark programme in propagating information and education of English language to the school students all across the country.
