MBA (Full Time) Admissions for the session 2016 – 18 are opened in Institute of Management (Nirma University) till 10th January, 2016. So eligible and interested candidates can apply online at the official website of Nirma University on or before 10th January, 2016.

The expected CAT 2015 cut off percentile in MBA 2016-18 at Nirma University could be 80 to 85 at the first stage of shortlisting the candidates for PI round.

Number of Seats in Institute of Management (Nirma University)
There are 240 seats for full time MBA programme in this institution, out of which15% of seats are allocated for admission to NRI/NRI sponsored students. In addition to this, 15% seats are also allocated to Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Students/Children of Indian workers of Gulf countries and South East Asia, i.e. 15% of total seats is available for admission under the Supernumerary category.
All eligible candidates will be required to register online only. The online registration process and filling of the online application forms commence from 15th October, 2015 and the last date for registration will be 10thJanuary, 2016.
Eligibility for MBA Admission 2016
A three-year bachelor's degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. But candidates, those are appearing in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met with the minimum eligibility criteria by September 30, 2016. If candidates who fail to meet the minimum eligibility criteria by the time will be asked to withdraw from the MBA programme.
Mandatory Entrance Exam
All applicants are required to appear for the Common Admission Test - 2015 conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
This year CAT examination was conducted at different centres all over the country on November 29, 2015. Institute of Management will receive the test scores from IIM for those candidates who have appeared in the CAT examination and have also applied to IMNU.
IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.
But Foreign students/NRI/Person of Indian origin/Gulf Countries and South East Asia candidates can be considered for admission on the basis of their GMAT scores also [not taken before January 2015].
However, NRI sponsored candidates will be considered for admission only on the basis of CAT scores. GMAT scores will not be considered for NRI sponsored categories.
Applicants have to pay a non-refundable admission processing fee of Rs.1,500/- . Candidate applying under categories such NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign students/Person of Indian origin holding foreign passport/Gulf Countries and South East Asia candidates should make payment for Rs.5,000/-.

The candidates should pay specified fees online by credit card/debit card/net banking.
Last Date for Submission
The last date for submission of completed application is January 10, 2016 for general category.
For NRI/NRI sponsored and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Students/Children of Indian workers of Gulf countries and South East Asia categories, last date of submission will be announced soon.
MBA (Full Time) Selection Process
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in different components of Common Admission Test will be called for Written Communication Test and Personal Interview. The interview and the test will be conducted at 5 selected citiesviz, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata and Pune.
The candidates will be finally selected for admission based on the candidates' performance in the CAT, Written Communication Test, Personal Interview, Academic Performance in X, XII and graduation and work experience.
The following weightage will be given for each component of the selection criteria and composite scores will be computed based on the selection criteria.
Common Admission Test: 60%
Personal Interview: 20%
Written Communication Test: 10%
Academic Performance: 10%
An additional score up to 5 points will also be given for full-time relevant work experience in a professional organization.
While computing the score of the Academic Performance, the marks obtained in SSC, HSC and Graduation shall be taken into account with 15% weightage for SSC marks, 25% weightage for HSC marks, 40% weightage for graduation marks (only the aggregate marks obtained in the examinations upto pre-final year will be considered for computing the merit, for example in case of a 3 year degree programme first and second year examinations’ marks will be counted and in case a four year degree programme first, second and third year examinations’ marks will be counted) and 20% weightage for overall academic consistency.

Scholarship Scheme for students
There are two type scholarship scheme for the students of MBA (Full Time);
A. Merit Based Scholarship Scheme.
First 30 students admitted in the programme in the merit order would be paid Rs.50,000/- [Rupees fifty thousand only] per annum as Scholarship for the first year of the programme.The Scholarship would be renewed with the same amount (Rs.50,000/-) in the second year also provided the student obtains a minimum CGPA of 3 and the conduct of the student is good during the entire first year.
B. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme.
This scheme is for 100 students on the certain basis of parent’s yearly income.
