- Junior Research Fellow 2: M.E / M.Tech or its Equivalent in Remote Sensing / Geoinformatics after B.E. / B. Tech / MSc
- Junior Research Fellow 3: M.E / M.Tech or its Equivalent in Remote Sensing & Photogrammetry
- Junior Research Fellow 4: M.E / M.Tech in Meteorology/ Atmospheric Sciences after B.E. / B. Tech / MSc (Or) (a) M.Sc in Physics/ Meteorology/ Atmospheric Sciences with NET or Equivalent. & (b) M.Sc degree holders must have studied Mathematics & Chemistry at graduation level

- Junior Research Fellow 6: M.E / M.Tech or its Equivalent in Geoinformatics / Environmental Engineering / Remote Sensing after B.E. / B. Tech / MSc (Or) M.Sc in Geography with NET or Equivalent Qualification
- Junior Research Fellow 7: M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Agril Chemistry & Soil Science / Agronomy (with soil science as a subject) with NET
Research Scientists: BE/B.Tech should be in First Class with an aggregate of 65% (Average of all semesters) or CGPA of 6.5 on 10 Point scale
Junior Research Fellows: M.Tech or equivalent degree should be in First class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 Point scale or equivalent and pre-eligibility qualification of BE/B.Tech/B.Sc., (Engg) or equivalent should also be in First Class with an aggregate of 65% (Average of all semesters) or CGPA of 6.5 on 10 Point scale M.Sc. or equivalent degree should be in First class with aggregate 65% marks as average of all semesters or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 point scale.
