Plan for ASRB NET Examination 2012

Q: Please inform me about the plan for NET Examination 2012 to be conducted by Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB)

A: There will be only one question paper of 150 Objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQs)  of one mark each. The time allotted to solve the question paper is two hours. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer . However, candidates should be really careful while marking answers as there is a provision of negative marking. A total of 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer .

The level of the question paper will be that of Post Graduation degree of an Indian University. The candidates will get the questions from the syllabus of the discipline in which he has opted to appear in the examination.

ASRB has categorically set minimum marks to qualify in the NET Examination 2013. For General or OBC candidates, the minimum qualifying score is 60%. On the other hand, Schedule Caste or Schedule Tribes or Physically Challenged candidates have to score 50% to qualify the NET exam.
