Sanjay Gandhi Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow (UP) issued notification inviting applications for recruitment to 42 faculty posts of Professor (2 posts), Additional Professor (2 posts), Associate Professor (3 posts)& Assistant Professor (35 posts) with 21 different Departments. 2. Additional Professors: 2 posts
Pay-Scale: PB-04 of Rs. 37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9500 + NPA

3. Associate Professors: 3 posts
Pay-Scale: PB-04 of Rs. 37400-67000 + Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9000 + NPA

4. Assistant Professors: 35 posts
Pay-Scale: PB-03 of Rs. 15600-39100 + Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000 + NPA

Upper Age Limit (for all the posts): 50 years (as on last date of submission of application)

Essential Qualifications (for all the posts): A qualification included in the first or second Schedule of Part II of third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956 OR Medical qualification included in Part II of the third Schedule of the said Act along with the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of the section 13 of the aforesaid Act with PG qualification (M.D./M.S.) or equivalent.

Experience:
For Professor: 14 years of teaching and/or research experience after prescribed post-graduation OR 12 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/ M.Ch. degree (2 year duration) in the concerned specialty OR 11 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/ M.Ch. degree (3 years duration) in the respective specialty.

For Additional Professor: 10 years of teaching and/or research experience after prescribed post-graduation OR 8 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/ M.Ch. degree (2 year duration) in the concerned specialty OR 7 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/ M.Ch. degree (3 years duration) in the respective specialty.

For Associate Professor: 6 years of teaching and/or research experience after prescribed post-graduation OR 4 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/ M.Ch. degree (2 year duration) in the concerned specialty OR 3 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/ M.Ch. degree (3 years duration) in the respective specialty.

For Assistant Professor: 3 years of teaching and/or research experience after prescribed post-graduation OR one year of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/ M.Ch. degree (2 year duration) in the concerned specialty OR no teaching and/or research experience after obtaining DM/ M.Ch. degree (3 years duration) in the respective specialty.

In subjects where Post-PG qualification is not yet prescribed by MCI, 3 years post M.D/M.S experience in concerned specialty as Senior Resident will be accepted in lieu of such qualification for the post of Assistant Professor.

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.
