While teaching is one of the most efficient and sought-after jobs today, most of the teachers are confused as to which one to choose- a government school teacher job or a private one? Well, Teaching in Govt School vs. Private Schools is a debate that is never ending. It has been discussed and argued since a long time in India. Let us see the pros and cons of Teaching in Govt School vs. Private Schools and find out which one is better.
Government schools: Learning about teaching in Govt School
Government schools prove to be more affordable for all kinds of students. However, the only drawback is that they provide least possible infrastructure for students and teachers’ growth opportunities. These schools are apt for the low economic group students who are willing to grasp knowledge. It is in these schools that the government schemes and policies like Education to the girl child and Free and compulsory education can be implemented with ease. The best possible aspect for the teaching jobs here is that these govt schools provide good salary as well as management facilities to their staff.
Private schools: Learning about teaching in private schools
Private schools, without a doubt, offer better infrastructure, which is good for mental and physical development of any child. The psychological and psychological development of students and teachers take place in a better manner at private schools. The environment and hygiene of these schools is much better than the govt. school. However, as far as a comparison and a debate about Teaching in Govt School vs. Private Schools are concerned, it must be noted that teaching in private schools has more grilling. The teachers are made to work day and night and the salary is not according to this toil that they put in. The management, most of the times, remains inconsiderate of the teachers’ efforts and toil that they are putting in for the children’s future.
Conclusion of Teaching in Govt School vs. Private Schools
Given the aforementioned points, it cannot be argued that private schools provide better hygiene, environment and infrastructural facilities to the children. But, it must also be noted that the efforts of teachers mostly go underpaid in terms of salary. No doubt, private schools have better mechanism, better management and limited batch size of one class. But, then, if everything comes down to money, government schools are much better in this regard. It totally depends upon a teacher or a candidate looking for a teaching job, as to which one to choose and on which basis.
If you wish to choose better growth opportunities, infrastructural development and more, then private schools are indeed better. But, if you are looking for a large scale career growth and better salary with less effort, then government school teaching job is the best. Everything therefore settles down to the choice of an individual. While, some may choose private school teaching, there are a lot of candidates who are putting in a lot of hard work to get selected as a government school teacher. Therefore, choice is entirely yours!
