The National Archives of India, Delhi invited applications for Diploma in Archives and Records Management , The duration of the course is one year.
Students who have cleared their MA in History with fifty percent marks with an optional paper in modern Indian history (post 1750 period) from a recognized university OR MA in any other stream of social sciences, including anthropology, economics, political science, sociology, linguistics etc with a minimum of fifty percent marks from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the course. Also students who have done a MSc in applied/physical science with fifty percent marks from recognized university can apply for the course.
Of the total thirty seats available, ten are reserved for candidates with masters in History, ten for other streams and ten for sponsored candidates (Age below thirty years for private candidates, below fifty for sponsored ones).
Students can send their applications along with the attested copies of educational qualification and registration fee of rupees hundred via crossed Indian postal orders/bank draft in favour of administrative officer, National Archives of India, Janpath , Newdelhi-110001. The last date to apply is 14 September 2012.
The National Archives of India established itself in the year, 1891 in Kolkata. as the 'Imperial Record Department' and was later transferred to the new Capital, New Delhi, in the year 1911.
