UGC NET Exam Date 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for the December 2024 cycle. According to the official notice, the exam will be held in two shifts from January 3 to 16, 2025. The UGC NET exam city intimation slip will be released 8 days before the exam. Candidates preparing for the examination can now check the subject-wise schedule to plan and organise their study strategies effectively.
These are the revised dates. Previously, the exam was scheduled to take place from January 1 to 19, 2025. However, it will now commence on January 3 instead of January 1 and conclude earlier, on January 16 instead of January 19. NTA is set to conduct the UGC NET December 2024 exam from January 3 to 16, 2025, in two shifts. The morning shift will take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, while the evening shift will be conducted from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This national-level exam aims to fulfil multiple objectives, including the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor, appointment as Assistant Professor along with admission to Ph.D. programs, and admission to Ph.D. programs only. The exam will be conducted for 85 subjects in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
