UPSC 2012 Engineering Services Examination Syllabus

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 10 March 2012 published its Engineering Services Examination, 2012 notification for recruitment to the posts in the Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering category. Last date for receipt of application is 9 April 2012. The Written Examination is scheduled to be held on 15 June 2012 (liable to change).

Here you will find all the necessary details about the syllabus of the subjects that are to be included in the written examination. Written Examination for each category will include basic two sections

• Objective Papers: General Ability Test - The General Ability Test will be basically based upon the subjects relevant to Engineering/Science courses. It comprise two parts a) General English and b) General Studies
• Conventional Papers: The subjects will be basically related to the respective category like for Civil Engineering there will be questions related to Building Materials, Solid Mechanics and e.tc.
