Age limit shown against Item No. 5 is relaxed age limit for SC candidates.
Age limit shown against all other items is normal age limit and the age is relax able up to 5 years for SC / ST candidates, and up to 3 years for OBC candidates.

Head Quarters
For post on SL. No. 2:  Hyderabad / Kolkata / Chandigarh / Bhopal / Pune / Guwahati. The officer may be required to serve in any part of India
For post on SL. No. 3:  New Delhi
For post on SL. No. 4:  Nagpur with liability to serve anywhere in India.
For post on SL. No. 5:  New Delhi with liability to serve any-where in India with Touring within India involved.

Selection Procedure: Selection will be based on candidates’ performance in the Interview.

Candidates will be short-listed for Interview on the basis of the information provided by them in the ORA.

If at any stage it is found that any information given by them or any claim made by them in their online applications is false, their candidature is liable to be rejected and they may also be debarred either permanently or for a specified period from any examination or selection held by the Commission.

Original Documents/ Certificates are to be produced along with self attested copies at the time of Interview, including other items specified in the Call letter for Interview, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the Interview.

Candidates will be informed of the final result in due course through UPSC website / Employment News.

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their clearing the required medical examination.

Travel allowance: Commission contributes towards the travelling expenses of candidates appearing for Interview at a rate corresponding to the amount of 2nd Class Mail railway fare by the shortest route to the place of interview from the Railway Station nearest to the normal place of residence of the candidate or from which he actually performs the journey, whichever, is nearer to the place of interview, and back to the same station or the amount of Railway fare actually incurred by the candidate whichever is less.

Candidates, who are interviewed at Delhi, travel allowance will be paid on the spot on the date of interview itself provided they fulfill all the conditions.

Candidates, who have been called for Interview at places other than Delhi, the travel allowance will be sent by Money Order later on.

Application Fees: Candidates are required to pay application fee of Rs.25 either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa / master credit / debit card.

SC / ST / PH / Female candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

How to Apply: Candidates must apply online through the Online Recruitment Application by logging on to UPSC website

After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), candidates should take a print out of the submitted ORA and retain it for future reference.

Candidates will be required to produce the Printout of the ORA on the day of Interview.

Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post.

Applicants should submit only single Online Recruitment Application for each post; however, if a candidate submits multiple Online Recruitment Applications for one post, then the ORA with higher "Application Number" shall be entertained by the Commission. So, candidates must ensure that ORA with the higher "Application Number" is complete in all respects including fee.
