It has been seen that many a times qusestion is repeated in UPSEE/UPTU examination. So, practicing more questions will give you an edge over other students.

    This sample paper contains 50 questions. Each question carries four mark. There is no negative marking. Questions given in this paper cover complete Physics syllabus of UPSEE/UPTU engineeering entrance exam.

    About Exam:

    UPSEE is a state level entrance examination for various disciplines such as: engineering, medical, architecture, management etc. Many prestigious government and private colleges are affiliated to this university. UPSEE engineering entrance exam paper is easier than JEE Main and Advanced. It provides good opportunity for those who cannot make to IITs or NITs.

    Few sample questions from the question paper are given below:

    Q. A current of 3 A flows through the 2 W resistor shown in the circuit. The power dissipated in the 5W. resistor is

    UPSEE/UPTU

    (A) 4W

    (B) 2W

    (C) 1W

    (D) 5W

    Correct Option: (D)

    Sol.

    Voltage across 2W resistance.

    V = 2 × 3 = 6V

    Since 1 ohm and 5 ohm resistor are parallel with 2 ohm resistors.

    So, by voltage divider rule

    Q. Critical angle for certain medium is sin−1(0.6). The polarizing angle of that medium is

    (A) tan−1 (1.5)

    (B) sin−1 (0.8)

    (C) tan−1 (1 .6667)

    (D) tan−1 (0.667)

    Correct Option: (C)

    Sol.

    Let the critical angle of the given medium be C.

    C = sin−1 (0.6)

    sin(C) = 0.6

    The refractive index of the medium is given as:

    UPTU

    Q. A gamma ray photon creates an electron, positron pair. If the rest mass energy of an electron is 0.5 MeV and the total KE of the electron, positron pair is 0.78 MeV, then the energy of the gamma ray photon must be

    (A) 0.78 MeV

    (B) 1.78 MeV

    (C) 1.28 MeV

    (D) 0.28 MeV

    Correct Option: (B)

    Sol. Energy of  γ-ray photon = 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.78

                                              = 1.78MeV
