The WBJEE test is scheduled to be held on April 22, 2018. There will be two papers i.e., Paper–1 and Paper–2. In paper–1, questions from Mathematics subjects will be asked while in paper–2, questions will be from Physics and Chemistry subjects.

The paper format of the question paper is given below:
Category 1:
 Out of four options only one option is correct.
 For each incorrect response onefourth mark will be deducted.
Category 2:
 Out of four options only one option is correct.
 For each incorrect response onefourth mark (1/2 mark) will be deducted.
Category 3:
 More than one option may be correct and marking of all correct options only will yield two marks.
 For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect responses, net mark awarded will be zero
 For partially correct response without any incorrect marking:
Marks awarded = 2 × (no of correct responses) / (total no of correct options)
Mathematics:
There are 75 questions in this subject. The maximum marks which students can score were 100. Few sample questions from the Mathematics Question Paper are given below:
Question:
The letters of the word COCHIN are permuted and all permutations are arranged in an alphabetical order as in an English dictionary. The number of words that appear before the word COCHIN is
(A) 96
(B) 48
(C) 183
(D) 207
Solution:
Arranging in alphabetical order: C, C, H, I, N, O
Number of words that appear before the word COCHIN is
CC.... : 4!
CH....: 4!
CI.... : 4!
CN... : 4!
COCHIN : 1
Therefore, number of words before COCHIN= 4! + 4! + 4! + 4! = 96
Hence, the correct option is (A).
Question:
The order of the differential equation of all parabolas whose axis of symmetry along xaxis is
(A) 2
(B) 3
(C) 1
(D) none of these
Solution:
Let α be a variable point that lies on xaxis
The equation of all parabolas whose axis of symmetry along xaxis is
y^{2} = 4a(x – α) ...(1)
Since the above equation consists of two parameter
So, the order of the differential equation formed will also be 2.
Hence, the correct option is (A).

Physics and Chemistry:
There are 80 questions in this paper. The maximum marks which students can score were 100. Few sample questions from the Physics and Chemistry Question Paper are given below:

The number of DrBroglie wavelengths contained in the second Bohr orbit of Hydrogen atom is

(C) 3

Solution:
We have 2 DeBroglie wavelengths contained in the second Bohr orbit or hydrogen atom.
Hence, the correct option is (B).
Question:
If x = at + bt^{2} where x is in metre(m) and t is in hour (hr) then unit of b will be
(A) m^{2}/hr
(B) m
(C) m/hr
(D) m/hr^{2}
Solution:
The dimension of both quantities x and at + bt^{2} should be same.
Since the dimension of x is meter, so the dimension of at + bt^{2} should also be meter.
Also, the quantities of same dimensions can only be added or subtracted.
So, at and bt^{2} should also have dimension as meter.
Now since the dimension of t is hour so the dimension of b should be meter/hour^{2}
Hence, the correct option is (D).
Question:
The order of equivalent conductances at infinite dilution of LiCl, NaCl and KCl is

K^{+} ion is larger than Na^{+} ion so the distance between the K^{+} and Cl^{} ions is greater than that between Na^{+} and Cl^{}, decreasing bond strength. So, NaCl has high bond energy than KCl.

KCl > NaCl > LiCl
Hence, the correct option is (B).
