Every year CBSE conducts JEE Main for admission to colleges like National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). JEE Main is organized after few days of board exams. Both board and JEE Main exams are very important from career’s point of view. Students have to do hard work along with the efficient utilization of time to score good marks in these examinations.

Every engineering aspirant want to appear for the next phase of Joint Entrance Examination i.e., JEE Advanced after securing rank among Top 224000 students in JEE Main. Students can take admission in NITs, IIITs and CFTIs on the basis of their rank in JEE Main if they don’t able to score good marks in JEE Advanced because of some reasons.

Class 10 and 12 Board exams are conducted by different boards in various states across the country such as UP Board, ICSE Board and Bihar Board etc. Many students who take science stream in class 11 after completing their class 10 board exams appear for JEE Main exam.

1. CBSE conducts JEE Main exam:

The course syllabus of JEE Main and CBSE board is almost similar. Students who appear for CBSE class 12 board exams have an idea about the difficultly level of the questions paper of JEE Main. CBSE class 12 board exams also help students to know about the important topics for JEE Main.


2. CBSE board exams are based on NCERT books:

Students easily get the complete syllabus of all subjects for JEE Main exam in NCERT books and save their precious time which they can waste to study topics from different books. According to some experts and toppers’ NCERT books are most important to score good marks in JEE Main.  

NCERT books are very important for board examination as well as Engineering Entrance Examinations. Approximately 70 percent of the questions are asked on the basis of NCERT books in JEE Main Examination. Also, NCERT books are prepared by experienced professors of colleges so there is a very rare chance of any error in NCERT books. Students can easily clear their fundamental concepts related to any topic with the help of NCERT books. Students can enhance their reasoning and analytical skills with the help NCERT books instead of memorizing the facts.

3. Approximately 60% of the questions come from class 12 syllabus:

In JEE Main examination, 60% of the paper comes from class 12 while 40% of the paper comes from class 11 syllabus. Therefore, students who appear for CBSE class 12 board exams need to study topics of class 11 only.

4. Many questions in JEE Main are asked directly from NCERT Chemistry text books:

According to most of the students Chemistry subject is easy as compared to Mathematics and Physics in JEE Main exam. In Chemistry section of JEE Main most questions come from directly NCERT Chemistry text books which help CBSE board students to score more score in JEE Main.
