Pakistani national Ajmal Amir Kasab who was the only survivor of the ten gunmen who carried out the horrific November 26, 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai was given capital punishment (hang until death) on 6 May 2010. He was tried under India's latest anti-terror law, the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2004. The judgement was pronounced by Judge M L Tahiliyani at the special court at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai. Public Prosecutor for the case was Ujwal Nikkam while lawyer K.P. Pawar was the defense lawer. Kasab has been found guilty of 86 charges that included mass murder, and waging war against the nation.
