BCCI Cancelled Agreement with WSG

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in June 2010 cancelled its media rights deal with World Sports Group (WSG) with immediate effect. The decision was taken to this effect as a result of “improper payment” of facilitation fee worth Rs 425 crore from Multi-Screen Media (MSM).


The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in June 2010 cancelled its media rights deal with World Sports Group (WSG) with immediate effect. The decision was taken to this effect as a result of “improper payment” of facilitation fee worth Rs 425 crore from Multi-Screen Media (MSM). The BCCI mentioned that the board was not aware of any agreement related to facilitation between MSM and WSG (Mauritius).
