BHEL commissioned 68 MW Unit at Rampur Hydro Electric Project in Himachal Pradesh

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) on 13 June 2014 commissioned 68 MW Unit at the Rampur Hydro Electric Project in Himachal Pradesh.

With the commissioning of Rampur project, BHEL has completed commissioning of four units of the 412 MW hydro power plant of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. The earlier three units at Rampur were commissioned in March 2014 and have been into commercial operation since May 2014.


About Rampur Hydro Electric Project

Rampur Hydro Electric Project is located on River Satluj, which is a major tributary of the Indus basin in Himachal Pradesh at a distance of 120 kilometer from Shimla.
