Raising objection to the vulgarity on prime time television, the Indian government on 17 November 2010 directed channels airing shows Bigg Boss and Rakhi ka Insaf to shift their telecast between 11 pm to 5 am. Big Boss and Rakhi ka Insaf aired by Colors and NDTV Imagine were accused of using abusive language, objectionable content and divulging of intimate details on the shows. The Information and Broadcasting Ministry declared that both the programmes were not for universal viewing and could be aired only in the mentioned time slot. Colors moved the Bombay High Court on 18 November 2010 and argued that no date as mentioned as to when the Big Boss' content encroached on vulgarity. The channel won a reprieve and will continue to air the programme at the scheduled time.
