The Parliament of Japan has once again elected Shigeru Ishiba as the Prime Minister of the country. A special session of Parliament was called on Monday for the necessary voting to select a new leader within 30 days of the general election. In the country's first runoff in 30 years, Ishiba defeated opposition leader Yoshihiko Noda by 221 votes to 160.

The recent partnership between Tata Power and Noida International Airport is a significant step towards the integrated use of renewable energy in the Indian power sector. This partnership has been initiated with an investment of Rs 550 crore and aims to meet the energy requirements of the airport completely from renewable sources. The scheme includes provision of supply of 10.8 MW wind power and 13 MW solar power by Tata Power.
