1. (a) Tel Aviv

Tel Aviv has become the world's most expensive city to live in, surpassing Paris and Singapore as per the Economist Intelligence Unit's Worldwide Cost of Living Index 2021. 

2. (a)Damascus

While Tel Aviv has topped the Cost of Living Index 2021, Paris and Singapore are jointly ranked second, followed by Zurich and Hong Kong at the fourth and fifth spots. Syria’s Damascus was ranked as the world’s cheapest city.

3. (b) December 4th

The last Solar Eclipse of 2021 will occur on December 4, 2021. It would be visible only in some parts of the world. While the total solar eclipse will be visible only in Antarctica, some other regions including Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, Falkland Islands will be able to witness a partial solar eclipse. 

4. (d) December 1st 

The Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated its 57th Raising Day on December 1, 2021. BSF is India's border guarding organization on its border with Bangladesh and Pakistan.

In total, 12 Rajya Sabha members were suspended on the first day of the Winter session of the Parliament over 'unruly and violent behavior' during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu said on November 30, 2021 that the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs will not be lifted.

Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin became India's third-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket during the first test between India and New Zealand at Kanpur on November 29, 2021. He surpassed Harbhajan Singh's tally of 417 wickets.

7. (d) Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton's menswear collection designer Virgil Abloh passed away on November 28, 2021 after battling cancer for several years. He was 41. Virgil Abloh was the first African American creative director of the top French fashion house. He was also the designer behind the popular Off-white brand, in which LVMH, had bought a 60-percent stake. 

8. (c) Robert Lewandowski

Two new Ballon d’Or awards were introduced this year- 'The Striker of the Year' & 'The Club of the Year'.  While the striker of the year award went to Robert Lewandowski, the Best Club of the Year award went to Chelsea.
