India celebrated the 74th Indian Army Day on January 15, 2022. The day is celebrated every year by conducting a military parade and various other martial displays at the Cariappa Parade Ground of Delhi Cantonment. The day highlights the sacrifices made by the Armed forces of India.

Virat Kohli stepped down as the Test Captain of the Indian Cricket team on January 15, 2022, after the series defeat in South Africa. Kohli announced his decision via a social media post.
