Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson and James A. Robinson has been awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Economics "for studies of how institutions are formed and affect prosperity". The prize is officially known as the Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has been granted Maharatna status, making it the 14th Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) to receive this prestigious classification from the Government of India. This milestone is a significant achievement for HAL, a leading company in the Indian aerospace and defence sector.
