The Paralympic Committee of India has named vice-president Satya Prakash Sangwan as the Chef de Mission of the Indian contingent going to the Paralympics. India is sending its largest contingent for the upcoming Paralympics, with 84 para-athletes representing India in Paris.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to shift the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup from Bangladesh to the UAE after a board meeting. This ten-team tournament will begin on October 3 where the opening match will be between England and South Africa. It will be organized in Dubai and Sharjah.

3. (b) BEML Limited

The Indian Navy has signed an agreement with defence and heavy engineering manufacturer BEML Limited for indigenisation of marine engineering equipment. This initiative is for bilateral cooperation for indigenous design, testing and productisation of critical marine engineering equipment and systems. 

4. (c) Shaktikanta Das

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has received an "A+" rating in the Global Finance Central Banker Report Card for the second consecutive year. This rating is being issued by the Central Banker Report Card since 1994. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Governor Shaktikanta Das.

5. (a) Japan

India and Japan have recently signed the Green Ammonia Export Agreement. The agreement was signed between Sembcorp Industries, Sojitz Corporation, Kyushu Electric Power Company and NYK Line. Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi was also present on the occasion.   

6. (d) Shiv Walia

HCL Technologies has recently appointed Shiv Walia as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company. He will assume office on 6 September 2024, replacing Prateek Aggarwal. He has been with HCLTech since April 1998 and prior to that he had worked in HCL subsidiaries from April 1993 to March 1998.
