Legendary actor Rajnikanth was honoured with the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 67th National Film Awards ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu conferred the prestigious award upon the actor for his outstanding contribution to the world of Indian cinema.

2. (c) Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut was awarded the Best Actress award by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu at the 67th National Film Awards ceremony for her movies Manikarnika -The Queen of Jhansi and Panga. Manoj Bajpayee and Dhanush were conferred the Best Actor award jointly for their films 'Bhonsle' and 'Asuran' respectively. 

3. (a) Italy

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be travelling to Rome, Italy from October 30-31, 2021 for the 16th G-20 Summit. He will also be travelling to the United Kingdom from October 29 to November 2 for the COP-26 World Leaders' Summit.

China’s national legislature on October 23, 2021, adopted a new Land Border Law for the protection and exploitation of the land border areas. The Land Border Law states that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the People’s Republic of China are sacred and inviolable. The law will come into effect from January 1, 2022.

The first indigenous aircraft carrier (IAC) of India, Vikrant, set sail on October 24, 2021, for the second sea trials before its planned induction into the Indian Navy by August 2022.

Uttar Pradesh has reported its first case of Zika Virus. The first patient of Zika Virus was detected in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh on October 23 after a laboratory in Pune confirmed the infection on a 57-year old warrant officer of the Air Force Station.

Iran is expected to host a regional meeting on Afghanistan on October 27, 2021. The new Taliban government of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has not been invited to the meeting.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is preparing to launch the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission that is a planetary defense-driven test of technologies to prevent collision of Earth with an asteroid. The mission is scheduled to be launched on November 24, 2021 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
