Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on June 29, 2021 said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government will provide 300 units of free electricity to every family in Punjab if it comes to power. This major announcement comes ahead of Punjab assembly polls, which are slated for next year.

Odisha Government and the United Nations World Food Programme (UN WFP) have joined hands to improve household food and nutritional security by strengthening the livelihood initiatives and reaching the thousands of state-supported Women’s Self-Help Groups (WSHGs).

The Drug Controller General of India (DGCI) on June 29, 2021, granted permission to Cipla, a Mumbai-based multinational pharmaceutical company, to import Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for the restricted emergency use in India.

4. (a) December 2021

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced that it is ‘putting extra work, extra hours’ to achieve the launch target of the first uncrewed mission in December 2021 as a part of the human spaceflights programme ‘Gaganyaan’ due to disruption caused in the hardware delivery schedules during the first and second wave of COVID-19.

The European Space Agency has announced its plan to hire and launch the world’s first physically disabled astronaut. Several para-astronauts have applied for the role. The space agency recently closed the decennial recruitment call for the 22-member space programme after it received 22,000 applicants.

Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Prakash Javadekar on June 29, 2021 inaugurated NATRAX- the High-Speed Track(HST) for automobiles in Indore. The track is the longest such track in Asia and the world's fifth-longest
