Union Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot has been appointed as the new Governor of Karnataka in the new Governor appointments made by President Ram Nath Kovind. The Minister will be submitting his resignation from all three positions including Rajya Sabha MP and Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment in person.

Jeff Bezos stepped down as Amazon's CEO on July 5, 2021 exactly 27 years since he founded the e-commerce company in a garage in West Bellevue, Wash. Amazon Web Services CEO Andy Jassy has succeeded him as the new Amazon CEO.

3. (d) Rajasthan

The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change has named Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary as the fourth tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan. The Sanctuary will connect Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in the Northeast to the Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve on the Southern side of Rajasthan.

Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Morepen Laboratories have announced the production of a test batch of Sputnik V in an exclusive facility in Himachal Pradesh. The first test batch will be shipped for quality controls to Gamaleya Institute.
