Delegation from Tourism & I&B Ministry participated at Cannes Film Festival

A delegation from Information and Broadcasting and Tourism Ministry has participated in the 66th Cannes Film Festival for showcasing the heritage of Indian Films, in third week of May 2013. The main objective of this participation is promotion of the country as filming destination.

The Cannes Film Festival 2013 that was inaugurated on 15 May 2013 is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Indian Cinema. The tourism ministry has set up an Incredible India booth at the event and will give a presentation on Incredible India to provide opportunities of business networking. The I&B and Tourism Ministry of Indian Union has signed an MoU with each other to promote cinema as a sub brand of Incredible India at different International Film Festivals.
