Dr Reddy's Signed Agreement with R-Pharm of Russia

Pharmaceutical company, Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd on 20 December 2010 signed a licensing, technology transfer, manufacturing and marketing agreement with R-Pharm of Russia. The agreement was signed at the fourth India Russia Forum on Trade and Investment in New Delhi. Fulfilling unmet medical needs in important therapeutic areas and make medicines more affordable to patients in Russia is Dr Reddy’s objective.

The agreement is in the area of high-technology and will work on a profit-sharing model. The agreement will entail licensing of manufacturing know-how of products by Dr Reddy's. The agreement will enable Dr Reddy's Laboratories to manufacturing of products locally in Russia, co-develop high technology products and facilitate knowledge sharing between both parties at regular intervals. The agreement will also pave the way for Dr Reddy’s to bring innovative medicines to the Russian people with collaboration of a local pharmaceutical company, R-Pharm. Dr Reddy's have been empowered to import and market R-Pharm products in India according to agreed terms.
