East Coast Railway (ECoR) on 4 June 2013 decided to suspend the night movement of trains (mainly the freight trains) from 8 pm to 6 am on the 450 kilometer long Kottavalasa-Kirandul line (K-K line).
The imposed restriction will come into effect from 5 June 2013 and continue till 12 June 2013. The decision of the Eastern Coast Railway Authorities came up in form of precautionary measures following the intelligence reports that Maoists in Dandakaranya and Bastar region of Chhattisgarh will observe a Janapituri Week from 5 June to 11 June 2013.
