Education Company, Educomp Solutions Ltd and HCL Infosystems Ltd on 25 July 2013 announced about their partnership, according to which HCL Infosystems Ltd will facilitate life cycle services for existing as well as new Educomp classrooms in India. The life cycle services include support services for the purpose of implementation.
As a part of the partnership, HCL Infosystems Ltd will be providing field repair services as well as break-fix support, apart from offering the management services for new installation of the Educomp classrooms. All this will be done through the country-wide network of field engineers, centralised repair factory as well as regional repair centres.
The education and learning division of HCL Infosystems Ltd, called the HCL Learning will also source the Educomp’s smartclass Digital Teaching Systems boards for the purpose of its IT solutions for the educational institutions. At present, Educomp Smartclass reaches around 15000 schools as well as 7 million students.
The Lifecycle Services of HCL are backed by 720 support touch points as well as 10000 service engineers.
