Harry Potter's Hogwarts letter

A sealed envelope used in the first Harry Potter movie 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' was on 12 September 2017 sold for 7000 pounds at an auction by the Prop Store in the United States.

This 13x8x0.5 centimetres envelope is accompanied by a letter of donation from Warner Brothers.

The prop envelope was used in the scene in 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' where the owl posts letter to Dursley household informing Harry Potter of his acceptance into Hogwarts.

The sealed Hogwarts acceptance letter bears the seal and logo of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and is addressed to Harry Potter.

The letter bears the address of Harry Potter as such:

"Mr. H. Potter
The cupboard under the Stairs
4, Privet Drive
Little Whinging,

CA eBook

The letter is made from marble-effect paper. It features a real red wax Hogwarts seal and this seal sets this particular letter apart from the others used on the movie sets.

The envelope remains sealed with letters seemingly contained within.
