India decided to press INS Jalashwa into service to evacuate Indians from Libya

India decided to press INS Jalashwa into service to evacuate Indians from Libya on 24 February 2011. The INS Jalashwa is the third largest warship of the Indian Navy. It can transport and land troops in enemy territory. The warship has six medium lift helicopters. The INS Jalashwa also has extensive medical facilities including four operation theatres, a dental care and a 12-bed ward.
