The owner of famous food delivery company Deepinder Goyal is one of the wealthiest person in Gurugram. However, despite owning an impressive ₹9,300 crore, Goyal is not the wealthiest individual in Gurgaon.
In the recently released Hurun India Report, a total of 23 residents of Gurugram passed the mark of Rs 1,000 crore wealth. The richest person in Gurugram is also ranked among the top 100 wealthiest individuals in India.
Who is the Richest Person in Gurugram?
According to the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, Deepinder Goyal, the second-richest person in Gurgaon, has less than half the net worth of Nirmal Kumar Minda. In fact, it would take the combined net worth of three Deepinder Goyals to match Minda's wealth.
The UNO Minda chairman and his family's estimated net worth in 2024 stands at ₹30,800 crore (approximately USD 3.6 billion), making him the wealthiest individual in Gurgaon and the 91st richest in India.
Nirmal Kumar Minda: Richest Person of Gurgaon
Nirmal Kumar Minda, 66, is the billionaire chairman of UNO Minda (formerly Minda Industries), an auto parts company founded by his father, Shadilal Minda, in 1958. Minda joined the family business in the year 1977. However, he parted ways with his brother in the 1990s. Today, UNO Minda produces a variety of car and two-wheeler parts.
Nirmal is married to Suman Minda, who heads the Suman Nirmal Minda Foundation (SNMF), the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) branch.

According to the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, Gautam Adani has surpassed Mukesh Ambani as India's wealthiest individual, pushing Ambani to second place. The list also highlights Kaivalya Vohra, the 21-year-old co-founder of Zepto, as the youngest billionaire, with the startup valued at $5 billion.
