In a historic milestone, Prayagraj Airport began operating around the clock with its first night flights in 106 years. With a focus on regional connectivity and the impending Maha Kumbh 2025, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu called the event a historic milestone.

The minister said on his X account, "This milestone is not just about connectivity; it's about enabling millions of pilgrims to seamlessly reach Maha Kumbh 2025, uniting people from across the country and the world."

First Night Flight in Prayagraj

The first-ever night flight carried 196 passengers, making them a part of a significant milestone in Indian aviation history. In order to facilitate travel for the holy event, which honors India's unity and cultural legacy, the action is expected to improve accessibility and update infrastructure.

The minister expressed his appreciation to all those involved in this accomplishment, demonstrating the government's dedication to advancing regional aviation and enabling pilgrimage.

"Maha Kumbh is a celebration of our shared culture and solidarity. The minister continued, "With the blessings of Lord Shiva, our government is still dedicated to making this holy gathering accessible to everyone by offering modern infrastructure and unmatched connectivity for ease of travel."

Over 1.5 Cr. Worshippers Attended Mahakumbh

On the opening day of the nation's biggest religious event, the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, more than 1.5 crore worshippers dipped in the sacred Triveni Sangam, which is the meeting point of the Yamuna, Ganga, and the ethereal Saraswati rivers.
