National Transport Development Policy Committee

In Indian Government in Feb 2010 decided to set up a national transport development policy committee to create a policy environment that will encourage competitive pricing and coordination between alternative modes of transport. Dr Rakesh Mohan, former Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs and Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India will chair the committee.

In Indian Government in Feb 2010 decided to set up a national transport development policy committee to create a policy environment that will encourage competitive pricing and coordination between alternative modes of transport. Dr Rakesh Mohan, former Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs and Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India will chair the committee. The committee after assessing the transport requirement for the next two decades in the context of economic, demographic and technological trends will recommend a comprehensive and sustainable policy for meeting the transport requirement.
