NourishCo Beverages, a 50:50 joint venture between Pepsi co and Tata Global Beverages, appointed Pratik Pota as its new CEO on 27 February 2012. Pota would replace Punita Lal who took over as the CEO of NourishCo in August 2010.
An IIM-Kolkata and BITS-Pilani alumnus Pota has worked with Unilever and Airtel before joining PepsiCo in 2005 as category marketing director, flavours. Pota has got an extensive work experience of consumer goods sector.
At PepsiCo, he was at the helm of managing brands like Nimbooz and Mountain Dew. While Nimbooz is considered to be the brain child of Pota, Moutain Dew got its due under his leadership with popular ad campaigns like Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai, featuring Salman Khan.
