NTPC named official partner for HWL Final
The 2015 HWL will be participated by India, Argentina, Great Britain, Canada, Belgium, Australia, Germany and the Netherlands.
National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in third week of November 2015 was named as the official partner for the Hockey World League (HWL) final. HWL will be held in Raipur from 27 November to 6 December 2015.
Beside NTPC, Hockey India also secured partnership of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) as the principal partner and South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) as the first official partner for the year’s biggest international hockey event in the world.
The 2015 HWL will be participated by India, Argentina, Great Britain, Canada, Belgium, Australia, Germany and the Netherlands. The Indian team will start its campaign against Argentina on 27 November 2015.
Hockey World League
The Hockey World League (HWL) is an international field hockey competition organised by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The competition held over two years serves as the qualifier for the Hockey World Cup (men and women's) and the Olympic Games.
The first HWL was held in 2013 in New Delhi. The tournament was won by the Netherlands and New Zealand was the runner up of the league.
