Pankaj Advani, Alok Kumar & Geet Sethi to represent India in World Billiards Meet

Seven time international Billiards champion Pankaj Advani, National Champion Alok Kumar and former world Billiard champion Geet Sethi were selected to represent India in the World Billiards meet to be held at Carlow, Ireland from 23 to 30 August 2011.

The trio was selected after completion of selection camp held at the Karnataka State Billiards Association.

Advani ended his campaign with a top billing, while Alok and Sethi finished second and third respectively. On the final day of the Z Camp, Advani defeated Dhruv Sitwala 3-1, while Sethi overcame a deficit of losing the first frame 29-151 to beat Alok 3-1 in a crucial game.

Alok mostly known for his heroics in pool showed tremendous growth in his game in all forms including billiards. He had shocked Advani in the National Championship as well as Asian Billiards Championship to win the title and since then he has continued to stay in lethal form.
