To create an enabling environment for tobacco control in India, a NGO named Public Health Foundation of India launched a website on 8 JUne 2011 which is India’s first of its kind portal.
The Portal provides training, research evidence and resources with regard to tobacco control. A short-term online course on tobacco control for health care professionals was also launched by the NGO.
