R K Shetty was appointed President of Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) on 20 December 2010. He replaced KPS Gill who stepped down following an IHF election. The IFH announced the name of the office bearers after completion of the election process which was put on hold following orders of Patna High Court in October 2010.
The newly-constituted body of IHF will have four vice-presisdents — two men and two women, secretary general, two secretaries, two joint secretaries, treasurer and five executive board members. Ashok Mathur of Delhi was elected as the secretary general while Suman Puri was elected as the treasurer of the IFH.

R K Shetty (president); P S Gill, Dinesh Reddy, Jatinder Peters, Farrel Furtado Gracious (vice-president); Ashok Mathur (secretary general); Keshub Mahanta, Bula Ganguly (secretary); Chandan Deb, Happy Mann (joint secretary); Suman Puri (treasurer); Charanjit Singh Raheja, I Rehman, TR Thirumurgan, Radha Murthy and Zotham Kimi (executive members).
