The celebrity tiger CP 1 which was introduced in Rajasthan's Sariska Tiger Reserve (STR) as a first time initiative for re-location of big cats, was found dead on 14 November 2010. The carcass of the male tiger was spotted near Kala Khar hamlet in Mitravat village in the Tehla block. Two males and three females were re-introduced in a span of three years beginning from 28 June 2008. According to the authorities who were shocked by the death of the male tiger, the death was caused of a fight between two male tigers in the reserve.
