China's Chang'e 5 lands on moon successfully to bring back lunar rocks to Earth

China's Chang'e 5 probe successfully landed on the Moon on December 1, 2020. The lander will drill into the lunar surface for two days and will collect 2 kgs of rocks and debris. The Chang'e 5 mission was launched by China on November 24, 2020 to bring back the lunar rocks to Earth for the first time since the 1970s.

UK approves Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for use

The United Kingdom on December 2, 2020 granted its approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for use against the COVID-19 pandemic. With this, the UK has become the first country to approve the Pfizer vaccine. The approval was given by British regulator Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
