The yellow vests have engulfed the nation of France with protests and demonstrations. Around 1 lakh protestors took to the streets in France on December 8, 2018 demanding reduction in fuel taxes, living costs and the resignation of the French President, Emmanuel Macron.

The UK court has ordered the extradition of Indian businessman and liquor baron Vijay Mallya from Britain to India to face charges of fraud filed against him. The decision follows a nine-month-long trial on an extradition warrant, which began with Mallya’s arrest in April 2017. India has been seeking the businessman’s extradition on charges of fraud and money laundering amounting to Rs 9000 crore.
