Viswanathan Anand raises to No. 3 in FIDE world chess rankings

Viswanathan Anand ranked World number 3 in the rating list released by FIDE.

Viswanathan Anand ranked World number 3 in the rating list released by FIDE on 1 April 2014. Anand with the Victory at the Candidates Tournament held in Russia in March 2014 has moved five places ahead from 8 to 3 with 2785 Elo points.

According the rating list, Magnus Carlsen of Norway with Elo points 2881 ranks no 1 and Levon Aronian of America with 2812 ranks 2.

Indians in the rating list
• P Harikrishna ranks 25 with 2726 points
• K Sasikiran ranks 66 with 2680 points

In women ranking
K Humpy (2613) ranks at 3rd position which is maintain by her since 2013. Hungarian Judit Polgar (2685) ranks 1 and Hou Yifan of China (2618) ranks 2.

D Harika (2507) ranks 16, Tania Sachdev (2427) ranks 49, Eesha Karvade (2414) ranks 58 and Mary Ann Gomes (2386) ranks 82 in the rating list.
