Water Heroes Contest 2.0 launched by Jal Shakti Ministry
From September 2020 onwards, every month a maximum of 10 entries will be considered for the awards.
Water Heroes Contest: Jal Shakti Ministry has launched ‘Water Heroes – Share Your Stories’ Contest to reach out to people on the important subject of water conservation and management. The contest will be held from September 1, 2020 to August 31, 2021.
The Ministry will consider a maximum of 10 entries for awards every month. All the selected entries will be awarded a cash prize or Rs 10,000 each and a certificate.
The Water Heroes Contest 2.0 has been launched by the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation under the Jal Shakti Ministry.

The main objective behind conducting the Water Heroes Contest 2.0 is to make water conservation a people’s movement and strengthen the water consciousness in the country. The Ministry hopes to encourage and collect best practices in water conservation from across India through the contest.
The Ministry also hopes to disseminate such efforts across India to encourage more transformational efforts in this area.

How to participate in Water Heroes Contest 2.0?
People can take part in the Water Heroes Contest 2.0 by posting their success stories on water conservation through a specially made video of 1-5 minutes along with a write-up of up to 300 words and some pictures, which depict their efforts and significant contributions to conserve and manage water resources.
The videos can be shared by the participants with a link of their YouTube video on the MyGov portal - www.mygov.in. The entries can also be submitted at email@example.com. The participants have been advised to mention only the YouTube links of their videos in the comments section and not upload the entire video there.
