Australian wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy broke MS Dhoni's record of dismissals as a wicket-keeper in T20 International cricket on September 27, 2020. Alyssa Healy now has to her name a total of 92 dismissals in T20 International cricket, while MS Dhoni has 91 dismissals in the same format of the game. 

2.(b) Vodafone
Vodafone Group PLC has won a long-pending arbitration against India with the Permanent Court of Arbitration in Hague ruling that the Indian income tax authorities had violated provisions of the Bilateral Investment Treaty with the Netherlands by amending the law retrospectively to demand over Rs 20,000 crore in tax and penalties.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on September 28, 2020, appointed senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer PD Vaghela as the new Chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

The Zombie fire is a fire that is leftover from the previous growing season that can burrow into the rich organic material beneath the surface that is made up of carbon-rich peat and smoulder under the snowpack throughout the frigid winter. When the weather warms, the fire reignites and refuses to die, as per a study by scientists from the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research at the University of Colorado in the United States.

The ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad-al Sabah passed away on September 29, 2020. He was admitted to the hospital in the United States where he breathed his last. He was flown to the US in July 2020 for further treatment after he underwent successful surgery for the unspecified medical issues.

India’s Reliance Industries Ltd. informed on September 30, 2020, that a private equity firm General Atlantic is all set to invest Rs. 36.75 billion in Reliance Retail Ventures, for a 0.84% stake in its retail arm.
