Yesteryear Bollywood actress Shakila passes away

Born on 1 January 1935, Shakila was an Indian actress. She was best known for her roles in Guru Dutt's films Aar Paar (1954) and CID. (1956).  She also starred with Shammi Kapoor in Shakti Samanta's China Town (1962).

Yesteryear Bollywood actress Shakila passed away on 20 September 2017 following a massive heart attack. She was 82.

Shakila was best known for her roles in Aar Par and CID.

Shakila’s nephew Nasirr Khan announced the death of her aunt on social media website Facebook. He wrote, “With a heavy heart I have to inform you all that my maternal aunt (my moms older sister) Shakila Aunty has passed away. She was a star in her own right in the 50s and 60s. Babuji dheere chalna, pyaar mein zara samhalna. Please keep her in your prayers. May Allah grant her Jannat. Aameen.”
