Name: Nagarjunakonda 

State: Andra Pradesh

Geography: Located between the cities of Nalgonda and Hyderabad, it is accessible on the State Highway, with the nearest train station being at Macherla, 29 km away. It is connected by a ferry to the mainland

Historical Importance: It  is a historical Buddhist town. The Nagarjunasagar Dam is the tallest masonry dam in the world.
