Bihar: Literacy Rate as per Census 2011

Bihar’s literacy rate has witnessed aloft tendency and it was 61.80 % as per Census 2011. The male literacy rate was 71.20 % however the female literacy was 51.5 %.

In the year 2001, Bihar’s literacy rate was 47 % out of which the male literacy stood at 59.68 % and female literacy at 33.12 %.

The total number of literates in Bihar stood at 52,504,553 out of which the males were 31,608,023 however the females were 20,896,530.
